“Burnout is a mental and emotional issue, but it does come out as physical illness.”
“I’m trying to bring that culture [of celebration and self-care] into the social impact world. Because I think that needs to start to become a norm versus something that you can just get at a roundtable discussion like this.”
“That is the first thing, recognizing [burnout]. The next thing is starting to be a little bit more open about it, having conversations.”
“It’s how we prioritize our time. We all have 24 hours but it’s what we do with those 24 hours in the day that really makes the difference.“
